What makes Magnus Motorsports stand out above the rest? Well to start Magnus motors come standard With what our competitors have as “upgrades” for their motors. We can sit here and talk about our motors all day but I thought we should share an email we recieved from somebody well known in the time attack scene, Andrew Brilliant. Andrew is running a Magnus Motorsports design 2.4 liter long rod stroker motor with our specially designed rods and pistons that come standard in all of our motors. Enjoy!

Marco,

I just wanted to mail to say thank you again. I can now proudly say that after 3 seasons in racing I have the perfect engine. I was at the end of my sanity 6 engines into my development process to the tune of nearly $60,000 in labor and parts. Engine after engine failed under the rigors of land speed and road course racing. It seemed that no parts on the market were strong enough and no assembler skilled enough to put it together. My favorite thing to do is show up at a race and ask the domestic guys how much power and torque they are making. Nobody ever believes that my little 4 cylinder has nearly equal power to torque and just shy of 700whp. I had to back those numbers up on two different dynos and I carry those sheets with me. My driver raves about the torque and response, my crew chief loves that he never has to touch the engine race after race and my pocket book is happy as well.

The icing on the cake: After two years of brutal land speed racing, two dozen top speed runs in 120F+ temperatures and 60 second dyno pulls at sustained high RPM (we’ve melted dynos!). We left the same engine in it, reinvented the car showed up on the road course and set lap records at every track we ran on. Late in the season we decided to do a tear down, that motor had seen some years. The compression was still perfect but it was a good measure. My machinist called me and told me that everything in that engine was perfect, no bearing wear, no signs of abuse, it was ready to go on and race another season. The final testament, we are still running the same engine today. I have a cabinet full of placards and trophies that were not possible without you. Thank you.

MAP performance makes 916 AWHP with Magnus V5 Cast Intake Manifold on the stock ECU!

June 25th, 2010

The guys using the stock ECU on Evolutions really are making solid progress these days.
MAPerformance in Minnesota famous for their 8 second RWD 4G63 powered RX7 (which runs a custom one off Billet Magnus intake manifold)
has really raised the bar for performance on the stock ECU.
Magnus V5 Cast intake manifold was featured on this car to help it attain the high end horsepower it needed.

Magnus Crate Motor

May 27th, 2010

There are many motors that try to be like it but none are its equal.
Our Motors are built from all new proprietary Magnus components. Every component is inspected, sized, re-measured, and machined to exacting tolerances.
All hardware and fasteners are new. It is shipped in a brand new crate.
From the CNC ported cylinder head that outflows any EVO head on the market to the Magnus Race Rotating assembly that has been exclusively designed from research gained from our race winning motors.
When we say ‘good for X amount of horsepower‘ It’s because we have absolutely tested it to its limit. We spent the money testing it so you don’t have to.
You bought the part from us, not because it was the cheapest, or it was available, or it was what some shifty parts manufacturer ‘thought’ was good enough but you bought it because you knew it was up to the job.
No used bolts, no reused parts, everything brand new. You cannot afford to rest your racing season on a motor that has used components.
We are not “that” engine builder. Hand down those used engine parts to your kid brother and tell him to move over, this is a man’s game. This is a Man’s motor!.
